Pumpkin Patch 2010

For the past two years, we have taken the kids to the local pumpkin patch. There is one annually that is less than ten minutes away from our house and convenient. Well, this year we decided to try something new and explore a new one-Alabama Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch (www.alabamagrandolepumpkinpatch.com). I did not realize that Birmingham had so many to choose from. We chose one in Clanton and we had a great time. They had great inflatables, a petting zoo, pony rides, hayrides, and hay mazes. The kids had a blast and loved the inflatables the best for sure! They also loved riding to the pumpkin patch picking out pumpkins and going through the hay maze. This location also had great food choices…everything from nachos and cotton candy to funnel cakes and grilled corn on the cob. They even were featuring some “Fried Oreos” and “Fried Snickers.”  I love them both, but having them fried did not sound delectable to me at all.

Overall, it was a great family outing and one I am sure we will try again next year!
